Hi,

I have a DS4, GeIL 2GB PC6400, e6300 rig. In the bios, I've tried upping the FSB from the standard 266. As soon as I go over around 300, it won't boot and reverts to standard settings. I've tried this at standard DDR2 volts and +0.3v. Same result each time.

What am I missing? This setup should hit 400 without even breaking a sweat, right?

Thanks,
Philip

Temps under load at standard speed is something like 34-40C.

The memory is PC6400, so should take 400 easily. Many are getting 450. Same for the mobo. Hence my confusion!

I haven't touched vcore or fsb voltages. Just the ram voltage.

It's set to 1.325 (standard) in the bios.

Using CPU-Z, it reports 1.120, but occasionally fluctuates to 1.300.

Using Speedfan 4.21 it reports Vcore1 = 1.14v, Vcore2 = 1.87v (!)
It also reports +12v as 2.62V and -12v as -16.97.

Core temps are 32C idle, 44C 100% load.

Should I be worried? Is there any other software I should be using to look at voltages?

Will check the bios now (reboot required).

I notice that the post says the multiplier should be 2. Aren't these processors quad pumped? Therefore, shouldn't this be 4?
