Rig won't switch on - its the PSU or MOBO

....but how do I test which one.

My wife has one of those HP ML115 jobs and it was not always starting first time - sometimes took two or three attempts to boot - been graduall;y getting worse until now it won't power up at all.

All of the other components have been swapped out and found to be working so I have narrowed it down to the PSU or the MOBO.

How do I test which one is at fault - its a 24 pin connector and all of my other PSUs seem to be 20 pin so cant evenh swap out the PSU - or can I ?

Wee update - can get the rig to switch on but it comes up with "BIOS Rom Checksum error" and then goes on to check the drives and comes up with Floppy Drive A error although there is no floppy drive installed.

Anyone got any ideas for me please?

sounds like the BIOS is getting confused/corrupted, I would suggest try flashing it but I seen "HP" not sure if you can with retail system like that
