Right angle fittings

Hello.

I'm thinking of tidying up my watercooling setup, by routing some of the tubing around my case to make things look a lot neater. I'm not too sure if right angle fittings will restrict the flow of water.

Does anyone know if they have a major impact of the flow of water?

A couple of 90 degree fittings in a loop won't harm flow rates unduly. I use 3 in mine and my D5 stays on no. 2 setting without temps rising so should be fine. How many blocks in your loop and what pump do you have?

i recently did this to mine using bitspower compression fittings....looks much neater now with no reduction in flow rate at all
 
I'm looking to get 3 for my outlet (From my res to my rad).

Would that be too much?

right angles add next to no restriction to your flow rate compared to multiple blocks.

my d5 handles two rads, a cpu, motherboard, gpu and about 5 right angles and thee 45s

all on low setting.

there is a lot of myth and incorrect opinion in regards to watercooling.
i found this out by listening to others then trying it out for myself and finding out that 90% of them were wrong...
 
Careful if you get this type. They are touted as rotatable which they are, but only closer inspection of the fitting there is a central barrel inside is fixed whilst the outer casing rotates.

The central barrel is drilled though to make the water path and what this means is you only get maximum flow two positions 180° apart. It will still let water pass at other angles due to some interal clearance but the restriction is definately noticeable by blowing through it whilst rotating, worst at 90° of course. It basically acts as a slack valve of sorts. I can imagine this could serious restrict flow if you are unlucky with the angle you need.

This kind of negates the usefulness of the rotatable selling point of the fitting as once it is tightened onto the block the angle of the hole described above is fixed and you can only rotate the outside, so its pot luck if this lines up in the best position.
