I struggle to check my tyre pressures at all of my local garages as they all have the wand type adaptors which means I have to bend my valves in a dodgy angle in order to clear my brake discs.

Anyone tried these before? Do they work?

Alternatively, I'm just about to get some new tyres anyway so does anyone know where I can get these from in the UK?

yes the screw on ones work really well.
I carry one in my tool kit so it's always handy.
As for the permanent ones dont know anywhere that does them.

The angled adapters are fine, but don't be foolish enough to leave them fitted when riding.

There the ones I bought, they work perfect. I just keep the little adapter in my top pocket in my biking jacket... 20 seconds it's on lol.

yes use one
years ago i had a valve fail where it goes in to the wheel on my cbr600
was doing 70ish at the time and when a wide front tyre goes flat fast it try's to sit the bike up i was lucky it was just a bend and not a corner were it failed or I'd have been off

for £5ish you can get 90degree valves installed by a tyre tech. Best place would be at any club races as they would tend to prefer them!
