Hi,

Recently getting some problems with part of the right click menu getting stuck on screen.

For example, just made a new folder. Right clicked on explorer, right click, new - New folder. Click. New folder is created. But i still have the 'New folder' right click menu still on my screen.

The only way to get rid of it is to do something that refreshes the screen I.e. restart, changing resolution.

It's doing it to both my monitors, which are running on different GPU's (one onboard)

Any ideas?

*EDIT*

Running Windows 7 Ultimate

What else shows in your right click menu? AV / 3rd party programs etc?

Probably a badly written Explorer hook.

There are tools that can clean up your right click menu if you can't be bothered to remove them manually

I have this problem too very rarely though, I've never pinpointed the offending application.

I think something is having some kind of conflict with the Desktop Window Manager. I mean it never usually happens, but the other day it happened when I had loads of random stuff open like Asus PC Probe, DUmeter, and a load of other stuff.

Running latest graphics drivers?

Actually, CCleaner can do what I mentioned.

Open it up and go to this menu.

Tools
Startup
Scroll along the top until you find 'Context Menu'

Disable/Delete anything you don't need

Yeah, latest drivers.

I'm running Actual Multiple Monitors which could be a problem. It doesn't seemed to have happened today though - but I havent done much right clicking.
