when i right click any icon it takes ages to load, like 5/6 seconds, the first time and then any time after about 2 seconds from then on.

Is there any way i can find out why its doing this?

im guessing its one of the programs i have installed that are listed when i right click. the non windows ones being:
  • scan for viruses
  • add to archive...
  • add to "something.rar"
  • compress and email
  • compress to "something.rar" and email
  • unlocker
  • send to:
  • --------- compressed (zipped) folder
  • --------- gmail drive
  • --------- html-kit
  • --------- skype
there is more but like i said its just the non windows noraml ones that have been listed.

Am i going to have to stop each program from donig the right click thing and then test it out? if so who do i do this? i am sure i saw ages ago a person say how to do this.

thanks

If you open the task manager are there any processes taking up a lot of CPU time? If so that could be your problem. You could also try starting in safe mode and checking if you are still having the problem.

Probably one of those three, one, two or all of them is possibly connecting to the net when you right click. Otherwise maybe the unlocker.
