Hi All,

I’m getting my kitchen redone shortly and will replace the washing machine I currently have. Due to the new layout of my kitchen, I need a washing machine with the hinge on the right as apposed to the left. Nearly all the products on the market (from what I can tell) have the hinge on the left.

I’ve read online that Miele have their hinge on the right but their promo pictures dont show it well. This is cool but their products are a little pricy. Does anyone know of another brand (ie, cheaper and just as reliable) that might fit my needs? I’m going to a well known high-street shop tonight to take a look.

cheers all.

Some of them are reversible, however usually need a bit of work to swap the electronic catch.

Hi All,
I appreciate the comments. Yep, that’s where im going tonight to check in person but looking on websites, nearly all are left hinged and it isn’t something that I can filter by. They don’t comment on L/R in their description either which doesn’t help.

Monkeyman,
wouldn’t that be a sight! Certainly a 'WTF' moment if I saw something like that for real.

Probably doesn't help you, but Bosch/Siemens and the like have quite a lot of their models with the hinge on the right but will also be expensive.

I take it your looking at in-built units?

Edit: in fact disregard that they tend to be on the left actually.

Can you show something to show why you need it on one side rather than the other?

Dont have a layout on my PC at the moment, but its because my kitchen is small and narrow. If the hinge is on the left it would mean id have to lean over the door to get to it. Hinge on the right makes life easier/more practical.
