Rim Tape

Hi all,

Anyone recommend some rim tape or is it all much of muchness?

Some come in sections and some on a roll, guessing roll is better? Any brands I should got for?

I got mine from eBay. Came in sections from China, cost me a quid, has done over 2,000 miles in all weathers and still looks great - no peeling.

I prefer the pre made sections, easier to apply and they don't go all squiffy

I quickly glanced at the thread title and my brain told me it was 'Tim Rape'. A double-take later and I'm fine again. Forget Rim Tape and go for spokey dokey's instead, much more amusing.

did mine from the tape they use down the side of cars,dont see it for sale anymore though,was a nice shade of purple so I bought some

Put some on mine back in May and love it. 2500 miles done since and a fair few washes, not a hint of peeling off. Used a company called awesome graphics.

Disagree with it looking naff. It's such a cheap way of adding a bit of colour to the wheels and looks great imo.

Oh disagree entirely too! Came with white I think it looks great, the red at the back is due to a second hand wheel

I've got the yellow reflective on the black rims which looks nice. My concern with white tape would be if it is too much white on a white bike?

I guess I could always get a few samples and try out a few different looks as its only a few quid.

I;'ve got rim tape, mate it's your bike. Forget what others think, if it looks good to you, do it. Don't follow the pack. I personally love it. Dependant on colour

I was going to do it regardless, I was just after opinions as having ZX-6R or Kawasaki printed into the pattern was a bit tacky. I mean my bike says it on every other panel
