Well, that's it chaps and chapettes. Been a brilliant 2 weeks of Olympics and a pleasure sharing so many anxious, exciting, great and golden moments with you all. :)

Very sad it's all over :( We shall do it all again though in Tokyo 2020. :D

But, looking forward to the ceremony tonight, maybe some others will stay up for it. ;)

Tokyo will be awkward to watch because of the time difference. You will need to take 2 weeks off work. 100m final will be about 3pm here.

Well, what a fantastic two weeks of sport. Not just the Team GB performances, but across the board. Highs and lows, laughter and tears.

The BBC coverage was brilliant. Some great commentating and punditry and some very funny incidental stuff going on through the night, especially on BBC4.

Standout memories for me will be the palpable tension of the Keirin with Jason Kenny, the sheer guts of Andy Murray, the peerless legends that are Farah and Bolt and the dare to dream attitude of the women's hockey. But if I had to pick one 'champagne moment', it's Fiji's win in the Rugby Sevens final which despite being a loss for GB you couldn't help but admire.

I'm feeling a bit bereft now, like a binge eater who has found the fridge is empty :)

I honesty didn't think we'd get second in the medal table. I'd have been happy with being in the top 5. Great result from Team GB. Sets the bar pretty high for 2020 though.

really enjoyed these Olympics, i was a little apprehensive as to how it would go down but the whole thing was great.

team GB did exceptionally well which made it more enjoyable of course.

i think the stand out moment for me was the local Brazilian Pole Vaulter winning gold when he wasnt even expected to get a medal.

Had a fantastic two weeks of Olympics and turned out a stellar performance from Team GB.
The time difference has been perfect for Rio but Toyko would be a little more awkward. I can sense Toyko would be a brilliant host city though and looking forward to it.

Not sure what's up with the sound. I was watching a different stream minus the commentary and the sound was good. Then I realised no commentary and switched streams and the sound is terrible.

Omg, you're right. On the red button, excellent sound but unfortunately no commentary.

That bloke who won bronze in the marathon. Ain't he the one who tripped Mo up in the 10,000?

That's him. Mo's training partner too. Ironic he gets his Bronze in front of a packed Maracana, Mo had his medal ceremony in front of an almost empty Olympic stadium last night.

Reminds me, I really hope they think again about the design of the podium tops:

The mens ones fit "ok" but the womens ones make me think of a judo top:
