RIP Bill Turnbull

Did anyone know apart from those who worked around him that he had prostate cancer? It said 2018 but I don't recall ever hearing that. I'm also shocked how long ago it was he was on Strictly. 2005 alongside Karen Hardy, the 3rd series. I honestly thought it was 2008/9 or 10.

I do recall his diagnosis being reported, but again, time flies, and I had no idea it was as far back as 2018.

Yes he did a few interviews, I actually followed his progress for a few months, he seemed not too bad but must have gone downhill very quickly. Rip.

Edit: On his Twitter 4th Aug he's saying he's back to present on classicfm.

He was diagnosed in 2017 about the same time as I was, I only got examined because I had just retired and there was a buzz at the time about prostate cancers. He was four years younger than me and must have had a more aggressive illness so I feel deeply for him and his family. Mine was taken out in 2019 removing I hope more recurrences in the future.

Over 50, get examined is my opinion.
