Such a tragic shame that he passed away.

Saw the clip of Defoe and him tearing up.

I'm not the most emotional guy but that kinda broke me...had a few tears myself.

Absolutely wonderful that Defoe made a huge impact on him. What a credit he is, has my immense respect.

Quite a lot of Sunderland fans have petitioned for a stand to be renamed in his honour. I hope it happens.

Yeah that or a statue, I liked the kid even though all he knew was illness he still managed a smile. I can't imagine how his family feel right now.

Anything happening to my two kids is my greatest fear by far. Very unfair for someone so young and innocent to have something so awful happen.

We need to eradicate cancer.
