I don't know if anyone else here on the forum has read and is a fan of the Necroscope series of books, I've just found out that Brian Lumley passed away a couple of days ago. The Great Majority gains a powerful new mind.

His other lovecraft books are also also great, although i havent read them in a while.

Those first necroscope books when I discovered them were brilliant. Proper vampires none of this namby pamby american teen nonsense.
