Star of Downfall, which spawned a million parodies, has died at the age of 77.

He will forever be remembered for that scene. It was an amazing performance in its own right, but I’m sure everyone’s got a favourite downfall parody. My personal favourite being Hitler as a spurs fan and copping the hump when Real sold us Ozil after they sold them Bale :D

Rip supberb Film Downfall,

the parody for me is ,"Hitler Not A Happy Chappy After Sheff Utd Relegated" sent down by Wigan with dodgy goings on at west ham involved re: the Tevez affair

He portrayed Adolf Hitler so well in the film than no one else will probably come close to again, the way he played the role was very well done. Some of the parodies that followed after the film was made were excellent, and I'm sure I read up as well that Bruno himself even saw a few of them online and found them hillarious.

First saw the film 10 years ago and still to this day is probably my favourite WWII film.

RIP Bruno.

He did a spoof interview bemoaning the fact he was never paid any royalties for all the parodies. Came across as a really nice guy genuinely surprised at becoming probably the biggest meme ever.
