RIP Chris Rea

Sad. I used to listen to Dancing With Strangers with my dad during the drive into north Wales to go fly fishing at Llyn Brenig.

I was just seeing the usual ‘Chris Rea’s car failed the MOT and won’t be making it home for Christmas’ jokes the other day.. he was a legend!
RIP

It's not that old nowadays but, given his health issues, I suppose he did pretty well even making it that far. One of the very few people to have beaten pancreatic cancer, although at the cost of having his pancreas removed with the inevitable lifelong complications.

Genuinely saddened at this. RIP.

This was Chris back in 2020 talking about being ill since the 90's. Seemed a lovely bloke with an appreciation of what's important in life.

At least we know what F1 driver George Russell will look like when he is 74. RIP Chris Rea.

Saw that last week, did chuckle at Paul's "You driving home?" and the reaction right at the end.

Such a shame. One of the first concerts I went to was on his Gods.Great Banana Skin tour in 1993. I was 14 or 15...

Lover of Ferrari. At one point was involved in a film called La Passione, and owned one of the replica Ferrari 156 Sharknose cars from the film.

R.I.P.
