RIP Clive Swift

Actor Clive Swift has died aged 82. Best remembered for playing Hyacinth’s hen pecked husband Richard for years in Keeping up Appearances. Also appeared in the Old Guys with Roger Lloyd-Pack and numerous other TV programmes. Was also in Excalibur too. I thought he was great as Richard in KUA.

Onslow was by far the best character. Could have had a sitcom based around him.

RIP, loved him Keeping Up Appearances, though he was in many other works such as the film Excalibur.

He was great in Keeping Up Appearances, I'm saddened to hear of his death. A good character part for him and an inoffensive programme, everyone must know a Hyancinth, I know two and one aspiring one.

RIP Clive.

I was just thinking of him yesterday, he was in a drama on Radio 4 Extra and his voice is very recognisable.
He is in Catch Us If You Can, a awful 1965 film starring The Dave Clark Five.

I enjoyed keeping up appearances so much, RIP and sad to see him go, but at least he had a good innings
