Bought back cod4 today..to play on ze mexbox 360..such a shame only team deathmatch is played..and like 300 players online...even though it says 3k -.-

Literally one of the best cods for me in the day..why couldn't the legacy live on

or remake xD

Yeah, I've got a built gaming pc, I just used my room mates xbox to give it a go..spent £6 on the cod haha fffffs what a waste now, never played any cod's on pc though..im used to the controller, especialing sniping

You can use the controller on PC, but you won't be competitive because kb + mouse is far more accurate and quick to use, and there is no "aim assist" on PC.

Loved CoD4, was the best Call Of Duty by far, meaty SP game and highly addictive MP, would be nice to have a make over with more open maps (SP) with multiple routes through a maps, the Chernobl level is still one of favourite parts in any game

CoD4 was amazing, Played it on Gamebattles and everything maxed out prestige, really hope they do a remake of it, Will buy a console when they do!

They let the cheaters ruin it on console to force you onto the next one. We went back a few times and tried to have games and it was utterly broken. To be fair though it was pretty rubbish after they did the first step to the darkside and made sniping easier.

I'd love a better looking remake but it won't happen, 3/5/7 just wouldn't be enough for people these days

Yeahh man.cod4 is where it all started..and i prefered it simple.. 3/5/7..but I guess you gotta move ahead..but never gotten

The best and revolutionary CoD.. definitely need to reinstall it. Times have changed since 800x600 res on a 19" monitor, I remember upgrading my PC and managing 1280x1024.. 1080p anybody?

I hate admitting that a COD game delivered some of my best gaming experiences.
But yeah, COD4 was great... Tried to relive it a little about two years ago, but somethingn wouldn't work with it, can't remember what.

China town, broadcast were awesome domination and S&D maps. Creek was pretty good for HQ's. Most of the maps worked well with the game types.

thing is, I think it would.

They have spent so much time chasing the casuals that the core series fan have been put off. I've not bought either ghosts or AW for this reason.

Despite what their marketing department might tell them, a remake with everything as simple as MW1 would sell by the bucketload.

Personally i'd like a nice mix of the improvements from the new series, combined with the old simplicity.

Pick 10 was a massive improvement for me. I'd keep that for example.

3/5/7 was in the old ones, if the hardcore wanted to play it they could. They didn't the playlists were dead and if I tried to get people interested they just couldn't walk away from predator, harrier, pavelow

You could play 'retro', just no one would.
