Anyone who plays chess will know of 'Danya' either from his playing, or his commentary from chess.com. I loved his commentary and his streams - even for a pitiful player like myself!

His death is weirdly tinged by Kramnik and his harassment - which we won't hear the end of and will open up the debate around protection online, laws and harassment.

Either way - RIP Danya - he made a HUGE impact to chess, teaching and speed chest during his time, and passes at the age of 29 - which is no age.

Awful news. Undoubtedly troubled by the absolutely bonkers Kramnik accusations and a great loss to the chess community. Watched his streams a lot over the years and his last wasn't easy viewing.

He brought nothing but joy to the chess community

Rest in peace

He was the best - not the best chess players (one of them) but the best in terms of history of the game, previous games, and the way he taught chess, was amazing. His commentry was top tier just for reactions he had above. Loved his youtube and his streams. Damn shame :(
