Unfortunately could see from the things he said that it was going to be terminal. Such a shame as he's probably one of the nicest blokes about.

Such a shame, I saw him in a show only recently where he appeared to have been recovering and even managed to get back on a bike.

Very sad news indeed, I really feel for his friends and family, truly devastating stuff. Oh to one day have a friendship like him and Si shared!

It is, watched the both for years and been watching the latest series. He was still poorly and mentioned he was still doing chemo. 66 is no age to go nowadays, suddenly I feel very mortal

cooking shows and their 'celebrity' chefs almost universally give me the trots - the hairy bikers, however, were like a breath of fresh air. such a shame and as mentioned, no age at all. RIP Dave and thanks for all the cooking tips.
