Aye, saw it too - was about 20 feet from where it rolled to a stop.
When it launched I thought "hmm, flames from under the bodywork, haven't seen that one before" then it was obvious it was out of commission and just rolling on fire....dead impressive, must have been one of the most expensive fireworks of the evening

Glad he was OK mind.
I was under the impression that it was the parachute deploying early that had caused the issue, or has it been tracked down now?
OT:
A warning though - Santa Pod is not a good night venue to go to - it's dangerous, poorly lit, so badly manged it's infuriating and it was not well announced. I won't be going again to any night show again.
I did not feel comfortable walking around. Partly due to the lack of lighting, not being able to see what was going on and where I was going but also - the embankments were slippy and muddy - the person walking in front of me slipped and broke their ankle off the hill - Could I find anyone to help them? No - partly because the place was pitch black and partly because there a) was no one around and b) the help staff there were wore black jackets. Eventually traced one down.
It would have only taken one t**t to let off a firework on the embankment and christ knows how many people would fall off the back of it...they need to work on their access. It's not a problem during the day, but at night there's no lighting whatsoever and it's muddy, steep and undulating
Also, there needs to be at least some displays for the public to be able to see what time events are kicking off, or wether they've been delayed - otherwise you can miss something without even knowing it.
Took us 3 hours to get out of the car park at the end...no marshalling, no controls, just everyone getting infuriated. Didn't even have any routes for emergency vehicles (which were coming and trying to go quite frequently) - placed damned well deserves to be shut down in an instance like this!
