RIP John Singleton

Stumbled on this bit of news by accident, 51 is no age at all these days.

Singleton's family released a statement to Deadline Hollywood saying, "It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton will be taken off of life support today." Conflicting reports had come out about the health of the Boyz n the Hood director on Monday morning following his recent stroke.

Boyz in the hood and Higher Learning are absolute favourites of mine.
