RIP John Wilson

Gutted to hear this. Used to love watching Johns Go Fishing series back in the 90’s with my dad. On channel 4 every Sunday. He made countless other programmes as well.

A true legend in the industry and thoroughly nice guy. His jolly laugh as he fought another huge fish always bought a smile to my face. My first fishing rod was a John Wilson rod. Got it when I was 10.

Sadly died after a stroke at his home in Thailand. RIP.

I know that's how you handle them to unhook them but I'm talking about using that method to "hand them out" of the water vs using a landing net.
