RIP Jonnie Irwin

With his continued presence on TV I thought he was overcoming it - but sadly not.

He was one of the better presenters out there for me.

RIP.

Not that I think this was necessarily a cause of factor, but things like this are a public reminder to do what you can to stay as healthy as practically possible and not delay doctor visits if you suspect any issue.

The medical world really needs to be starting kicking cancers butt. We're losing people way to soon.

There's an interesting article on the BBC this morning about two Australian doctors that have known each other for a long time and are trying a new way to treat glioblastoma, which one of the doctors has been diagnosed with and which is a horribly aggressive brain cancer with a very low 5-year survival rate.

The guy is in his mid 50s and the article shows a photo of his youngish family, with quote saying he doesn't want to die because he loves his family and his life. It's just really ****.

That article in the OP is both heart-warming and heart-breaking.

The message to enjoy life is such a positive one and for him to have his career and salary taken away as a result of insurance is just disgusting.

May he rest in peace, and I hope his family are going to be ok. My thoughts are with them.

Poor lad - seemed like a decent sort and he was great on Escape to The Country - it’s been a long time coming so I hope he is at rest now. Feel so sad for his wife and children.

RIP.

He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Very natural with people when he was on Escape to the Country.

I am very sad at the news. He was fighting so well for so long I thought and hoped that maybe he might actually beat his illness.
