Robbie Robertson, leader of The Band, dies aged 80

The Band toured with Bob Dylan before becoming one of the most influential acts of the late 1960s.

I've been listening to his Self-titled first solo album regularly since it was released way back in 1987.
One of my favourite albums of all time.
Will be listening to it again on my way home from work.

I've been a lover of his music dating back to Music From Big Pink with The Band. Strangely enough one of my friends sent me a The Band T shirt only about a week before Robbie Passed away.

His music meant a lot to me: RIP in Robbie!
