how do you even get or apply for a job like that
They are all people who studied drama/acting and often they appear outside of costume in other shows. Justin Fletcher being an example of one - he was a Tellytubbie as well. A girl I knew used to be in Zingzillas but does loads of stage work now.how do you even get or apply for a job like that

RIP
Quite a few years ago, myself and a group of friends on holiday pretended that we were actors when chatting up girls... the twist was that they'd not recognise us because we were supposedly the tellytubbies!
Surprisingly it worked... so I've got the tellytubbies to thank partly for getting me laid with a Swedish girl and some girl from Essex all those years ago.

Trust an Essex girl to turn up in that story!RIP

A lot of costumed TV work like this usually involves being very fit. Stuntmen and martial artists tend to get a decent amount of work through such things.how do you even get or apply for a job like that
I worked on the set of Teletubbies, it was built in a field at Ilmington near Stratford on Avon & editing etc was done from a series of portacabins, the site was all top secret & only the local landowner knew what was going on, there was round the clock high security because of all the equipment
