So he has now succumbed to his cancer, 33 is no age to die. Like him or loathe him, he did a lot to make gaming social media as widespread as it is.

Shame and younger than I thought I thought he was 40+, and older than me but apparently younger by few years.

He was ok in some things and not so in some things but he tried to do right for the average gamer not the companies so hard to him for that.

It's a bit daft for a gd topic as it's more suitable to have this in pc gaming section. Hopefully a mod will move that bigger one to here and then merge this into that or something.

Hopefully as he championed, we all should try to avoid pre orders lol. Try before you buy!

Wasn't always a fan of him personally - he could be pretty nasty to those who don't agree with his perspective BUT I generally did agree with him and enjoyed his content.

He'll be missed, gone far too young to be honest. RIP

It's sad, regardeless of his shortcomings as a person. No one deserves to suffer from this crippling disease, especially at such a young age, and I can imagine what his family must be going through having lost a loved one in the same way.

One of the first youtubers I actually watched and liked, his PC port reports and WTFs were great. 33 years old, this is just insane and unfair. Rest in peace John.

And I have to say it is incredible how nasty and ugly some people, who consider themselves superior beings but are in fact dumb moral busybodies, can be. Shameful.

John "TotalBiscuit" Bain was one of the very few Youtubers i watched. His video on used games and why they are bad for the industry was the first video of his i seen. The WTF videos were great too, often dissecting PC versions of games and how they can be improved. There was no one like him on Youtube. When he spoke, he spoke with a lot of common sense. That's what i liked about his analysis.

He'll be a huge loss to the PC gaming scene and the industry in general.
