Hey guys,

Hope this doesn't break any forum rules or anything,After all i have ripped my own disks i legally own a physical copy of.

Okay so the problem i have.

The ripping of the 4 CDs was fine,However,CD1 & CD4 are not showing artist or track name..where as CD2 & CD4 are. :D

Here look -

CD1 (Shows names correctly)

CD2 - (No names)

How can i get Windows to recognize this and search the web for the tracks names/artists?

Im not sure why 2 of the 4 disks done it correctly, and the other 2 didnt..ive used exactly the same rip software.

have used foobar 2000, with the discogs plugins when digitizing vinyl, this enables you to manually identify the source media and then associate the correct track names/metadata.
maybe the releases of the discs/cd's that did not work are not in the database (seems unlikely) but there must be other releases that could be used in the like of foobar 2000

Il give it a try, never used Foobar before. :)

But will this name the tracks/artists in the windows folder,Or only in Foobar?

The album is also showing up in full on the MusicBrainz database (at least, I assume this is the one): https://musicbrainz.org/release/460913f4-4e9a-44d1-9f36-c8b2c7f280ae . I'd always use it in preference to Discogs where possible anyway, as its contributors are absolutely obsessive about accuracy and consistency.

Try using the MusicBrainz Picard tagger for the best results - IIRC there's a MusicBrainz plugin for foobar2000, but the last time I used it (admittedly some considerable time ago), it could be bit erratic in identifying the correct release, particularly when an album was released in several similar-but-not-identical versions (eg for different markets).

probably need to generate token from applications tab of discogs (lower pic)
which you give to foobar in config menu (top right)

do not know why it is this complicated
