ripping a website

hi
is this legal?
asking as my dad wants to browse a large website and hes only got dialup so its very slow as i have broadband can i download the website to dvd for him to browse at his leasure?
if so what free software would be good for this

I'm not sure of the lagality of doing it, but i don't think anything is wrong with it. As for software, Httrack is a good one

Well content of websites are downloaded to your PC when you view them anyway.

Definitely not illegal.

They are only allowed to be used in a certain way though, making an archive of the website on a hard drive and distributing it to others isn't the same as viewing the page through the internet. Espically when it comes to things like flash content and videos.
