Ripping DVD's to AVI

Hi guys im wanting to rip a few DVD's to AVI format and wondered what the best no nonsense software is for the job? In other words insert DVD, launch program and eventually end up with an AVI file. The DVD's in question are not copy protected or anything by the way.

Use either DVD Decrypter (does not always work with newer titles) or DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip to HDD, then use either AutoGK or Handbrake to encode to AVI...
