Seems MS released a new version of the demo of rise of legends

There were some issues with the early sneak-preview version of the demo that was released awhile ago, as it was an early build of the game from pre-beta. We allowed our excitement to release the demo early get the better of us, and in the future, we will be more careful to be sure our demo releases are more representative of the final game.

On Friday (April 28th) a new optimized demo for Rise of Legends is slated to be released that will contain new content and a complete new map "Battle for the Core". You'll find a drastic difference in the level of performance and AI presented in the new demo, and I encourage you to give it a try.

Not sure if its any better yet than the 1st demo release, still downloading it

Error on install for me, will try and grab another copy later. Got mine from Fileplanet.

Im running XP Pro 100% legitimate, updated, sp2; and the demo is not having it.

He didn't say the reason it isn't working is because it's XP only. I think he is just stating it's XP only.

getting DELETED , READ THE FAQ off with this whole "only on XP" stuff, AOE had it (works fine on 2K btw, need haxoring to install tho).
wonder if I'll have to do the same with ROL

Not a clue to be honest.

But its a very interesting game.. not really been on the PC scene for a bit and i quite enjoyed that.. i was DaVinci though..

btw
if your running win2k then using the run dialog box, select the game, and add "/a" after the ".....setup.exe" so the box reads

".../setup.exe" /a

and it will skip the OS checking stage,
runs fine after that
