I have the Windows App / Microsoft Store version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, it's fully updated but no sign of DLSS available in the settings. I know a DLSS patch was released on the 18th or thereabouts.

Does anyone know when this is landing on the MS Store version?

Just read that Prime Gaming are giving it away for free tomorrow, I guess that will be on a different platform so I might grab that and try to port the save game over.
On a similar vein I currently playing Control standard edition via Game Pass but they are giving away Ultimate Edition on Prime tomorrow so will try to do similar.

Yeah I have that on Epic but it wasn't the proper Ultimate edition so no point. After a bit of googling I've figured out how to migrate the Control GP savegame to GOG.

Now the good news is the Amazon Prime version of ROTT is the 20 year celebration edition with extra content, and it has the DLSS option.
The bad news is, I can't get the save games ported over. Windows Store seems to use some weird encrypted savegame format where they are 4MB in size, much bigger than Epic Store saves. Don't really want to have to start all over, I'm at the Soviet Installation :(

How do you play it on PC, I tend to use the controller most of the time for general platforming and roaming about, but then pick up the mouse for combat as obviously aiming is impossible with a controller.

Yeah so I'm wondering why they said controls on PC are so much more enjoyable, only real benefit I see is for the shooting sections.

For me trying to aim with a controller is just as wrong as (if not worse than) using a m&k when in 3rd person perspective.

Using both controller and M&K (as I did in GTA5) kind of gives the best of both worlds, except it breaks the suspension of disbelief a bit doing the physical transition between devices, and having to figure out if it is worth putting the controller down (if it's just like killing a couple of dudes, probably not worth it; if it's a big firefight, then you need the mouse).
