I need a new mouse and am a fan of Steel series products. What I need to know is if the 710 is worth the price premium over the 600.

House bound so can't get out to test them so want to be sure about what I get.

Have you seen the 650 is now reduced, so it's price is nearly identical to the 710?

So the choice seems to be, do you want (650):
Wireless
Weight and balance customisation

Or (710):
Tactile alerts
Possibly a more advanced RGB set-up? Not sure from the description - I think I'm probably wrong on this one!

I'm in the same boat as you, and really struggling to decide.

710 is best bet between 710 and 650. Enless you are specifically wanting wireless. then go for the 650. (Obviously)

Good price on the 650 but don't need wireless, are there any improvements other than that between the 600 and 650?

Just want a reduction on the 710 by £20 or so and I'm all over it, much prefer the look to the 600.

Any reason to not get the 310? About £50 cheaper and seems to only lack the gimmicky features.

You can really tell the quality difference when you pick each up. It just FEELS so much better. Also has a more advanced sensor if memory serves (it's late).

Rival 310 is great for the price. Rival 710 is just a better mouse all round and that's why you pay the premium. For something your gonna be touching all day go for the 710 over a 310.

Bought the 600 as I also had to buy a new baby monitor, also couldn't really find any reviews of the 710 and don't really need the screen or feedback in some games, while for the 600 the only negative people mention is the dpi switch and that it's heavier than some of its competitors.

Exact same sensor. TrueMove 3 based on the Pixart 3360.

I have a Rival 700, been using it since it was first released and its still like new, must be 3+ year so really high quality mouse. I also have a Rival 300(think) and i don't like it much so its never got used. A good cheap mouse is a SteelSeries Kana, I have 2 and they are very good, think I got them for £20 each.
