I found the best way to set it up was to have the fan auto increase as certain temperatures are reached rather than creating lots of profiles. This way the increase in speed is less noticeable and requires less fiddling in rivatuner.
Use this guide by Vague Soft and scroll down about 2/3 of the way to "Advanced Automatic Fan Control" no need to make the fan profiles. There is a useful Excel document that u can input desired temps into to see how it will affect fan speed too.
