Rivatuner Help...

I might take on the next years a class for Drafting and I can't put more money on my machine, so I'm interested in some mod to make the video card to work with CAD apps.
I have a 7800GS+ 512MB agp,the one with the G71 (7900GT).
I found on rivatuner the NVstrap driver a check box to unlock professional capabilities, but means I need to install quadro drivers instead of the forceware drivers.
I know there are quadro with the G71, just with lower memory speed.
Also is possible to change that on the bios, which option is more stable?

Afaik, the 7*** series are not softmoddable to Quadro.
The 6800/GT/Ultra cards (NV40, NV48) can be softmodded to Quadro with Rivatuner, but nVidia have disabled this ability in newer cards.

Until I don't get a PCI card I will not try nvStrap on Rivatuner, but I tweak the driver to enable workstation setting and give me only 20 percent more performance.


but I ask my exgirlfriend who is designer and has a quadro, then she told me, the quadro with the video adapter driver is just another geforce, the performance gain, comes by the other driver called powerdraft and maxtreme, where powerdraft is the driver for autodesk.
Also is required to have autodesk installed and the card, so until I don't install autodesk and powerdraft I'll not get any significant gain.
