I have set up my profiles for fan speeds at certain temps and also clock speeds for windows startup, but cant work out how to launch my overclocked profile at 3D application startup  Little help...

Sorry, I have followed that guide already, it explains how to set the fan and OC profiles to be temperature dependent but I was wondering if I could set a launch event for the OC that would initiate it when a 3D application is started as opposed to a temperature change? Reason for this is so it can be underclocked when not being stressed.

Sorry creed, I am not knowledgable enough for what you want, but I am sure there is someone on here who is. Perhaps you should have posted this in the graphic card forum and be specific in what you want to do.

Good luck

Here's a better guide , its more up to date & shows the Rivatuner version I just downloaded

I've now got it set so it loads with windows & my GPU temps show in the taskbar by clicking settings/run at windows startup via registry key,I have set an idle speed & four upper speeds with temperature settings so a soon as I start playing Crysis for e.g then the next speed kicks in as required, I haven't tried setting an o/clock profile as yet however but wouldn't it autoload in the same way as the fan/temp profile via registry entry? Why not use a hotkey otherwise so you can initiate the o/c & then turn it off via another key

Edit: just tried using hotkeys in an obscure part of keyboard such as upper numpad area for o/clock profile ,
works a treat one key to turn it on & another to turns it off

Yea, it seems there is no way to set OC to come on with 3D application only with temperature changes or hotkeys, but they defeat the point of setting automatically :(

Does it matter though? You can set an O/C to be loaded at start up. That will only kick in when in 3D application mode. Your 2D settings will be as stock (unless you overclocked those) so will be used when desktop browsing.
