I am using rivatuner to overclock my card and am unsure how accurate the temps are on the monitor hardware.

Pushed to 645/1515/1010 and got 11509

My temps are showing 51 - 61 idle and 71 - 86 pushed

My quiry is that on Atitool the temps seemed higher than those on nivatuner.

Is nivatuner ok for monitoring temps?

I keep increasing the shader and the temps are about the same, how long should i do this for.

Got them to 650/1650/1010 at the moment and 3D 06 11824

Practically just run it till 3dmark crashes. Same as ATI tool. Others, including myself do my testing in games also.

You should try one thing at a time though so you can find out the max core, then shaders then memory and then see if you can hit those speeds all together. "Time consuming?" yes but after it's finished you will be able to sit down and get into some good gaming. Some games also stress the card out more than other titles so your stable card might still crash at some point.

Have fun :D.

Thanks.

Got it to 650/1700/1010 at the moment 11828

Didnt improve much from shaders being 1650 to 1700

Whats the best you have seen someone get their card to? 8800 340mb

Nae problem m8y.

Looking great so far :). I think (not sure) the normal OC is about 630-650Mhz core > 1600-1650Mhz shader > 1050Mhz memory. So on that regard you're doing a bit better than average but with limited knowledge I'm not the best judge on that question. Loadsamoney as well as a few others should be able to help out more in that regard as I've never owned or tried the 320Mb model.

You should try the Crysis benchmark. That game loves shader overclocking.

Broke into 12058 with

675/1700/1050

Might try the crysis test.
