RivaTuner not showing BFG 8800GT OC Fan Speed?

Hi

Ive setup RivaTuner to control the fan on my GT fine, goes up in speed at certain threasholds, etc, and allows full control over the fan. I cannot, however, get it to display the fan speed. If I use the hardware monitor it always shows 100%? ATI Tool on the other hand always shows 0%? Is there something I need to do to allow programs to read the fan speed?
