Rivatuner not working anymore for ATI fan control?

A while back (last year maybe), I set up Rivatuner to manage my X2's fan control, so that it would ramp up when needed and quickly fall back down to 35% at idle.

But lately it seems to have stopped doing that and just goes full blast 100% in games then takes 10 minutes to come down to idle speeds again.

This is the reason ATI's own fan control was so unpopular at launch, have they actually fixed it (they were pretty arrogant and dismissed complaints with "working as intended") or is there a better method nowadays for automatic fan control?

I just use manual fan control in CCC. For Windows I set the slider to 30% and that's where it stays. When I occasionly game, just open CCC and drag it to around 40%. It takes like 15 seconds of my time to alter it manually. :)

Could you not just do this as well with your X2?

I've noticed this too.

(Doesn't really help you much besides confirming your issues)
