1. When overclocking in Rivatuner, should I just overclock under the "Performance 3D" tab, and leave the "Standard 2D" & "Low Power 3D" set to stock?

2. I've come up with a stability test for my 8800. I run the 4 graphics programs on 3DMark06 at full resolution (1920x1200) with full AA and Anisotrophic Filtering, a few times. Do you guys think that's a good test?

1. Just clock peformance 3D.
2. Excellent test, I usually let 3DMark loop for 5 runs which is around half an hour giving the card a good test.

The weird thing is, is when I adjuest the shader clock, above a certain limit I get tons of yellow in ATI Tool (despite it says "no errors"), whereas 3DMark06 runs fine on loop. I guess, if it works in all my games, then I'll ignore ATI Tool, and if not, tone the clock down...
What's stranger is that it happens the opposite way around with the core clock: a higher core clock works fine under ATI Tool, but causes 3DMark06 to crash when on loop. I'm trusting 3DMark on this one...

If your settings cause it to crash in anything I would lower them. That may be overly cautious, but I would prefer not to risk it.

Is that the newest version?

I get tons of yellow in Atitool too, but no games crash and ran 3Dmark06 10 times looped, with no problems.
