I don't want to sound xenophobic, but I've been thinking of something ever since this headline that Alexey Nicolaychuk, maker of RTSS, wasn't getting paid due to Russian sanctions on banks. It's hard to believe such critical software is dependent on one man, and I hear it's pretty common for major software to rely on a library of single user-maintained projects. What's to stop the software being compromised for financial benefit during such a desperate situation? Or worse, a carrot and stick approach from the government. Kaspersky has always been accused of such, and I personally used Thaiphoon Burner before finding it had a trojan. A recent update came out, which I'll skip, but I don't want to think the worst due to someone's nationality. Any weight to my concerns?
