Dear All,

I bought an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme and 16GB of 1866 SDRAM. The mobo is supposed to run that speed without overclocking, but for some reason it only works it at 1333. Is that normal? How do I change it to make use of the full speed of the memory?

Thank for your help.

Yours,

FD

Does your RAM have an XMP profile to load in the BIOS? this will set the frequency/timings etc up for you.

Im not familiar with that board, but in the BIOS there will be a memory settings page or something and there should be an option to load a XMP profile, the RAM may very well have two XMP profiles (different speeds), just pick the one you want to use.
