Rizoma Reverse Retro Bar End Mirrors

Has anyone had any experience installing Rizoma Reverse Retro Bar End Mirrors?

I just installed a pair along with some Rizoma Bar End Weights and there's something I'm not sure about.

Specifically, the Rizoma Bar End Weights come with rubber expanders. I installed those first then opened the up mirror boxes.

Inside the mirror boxes were metal expanders. The Rizoma instructions are **** but I could make out in the pictures the metal expanders replacing the rubber ones.

I just wondered if I should bother taking the weights out again to replace the rubber expanders with the metal ones?

I'd have thought the rubber expanders would help reduce vibration on the mirrors a tad, but I don't really know what I'm on about

Nevermind. Tried the metal inserts anyway and one of them just spun inside the bar, luckily the cap was reversible so I was able to stick them back in with the rubber ones. Grr
