Hey folks, I am moving my ADSL router to the other side of the room, and ordered a 7M 'Adsl US' cable to connect my router to the ADSL faceplate as existing wire that came with the router was not long enough.
It fits no problem, but I did notice, the existing cable had '4' gold/copper connector parts when you look through the transparent plastic connector, whereas the new one only had 2.
As a test I have ran a few pings to various websites, and they are OK but with the occasion burst from 18ms up to 350ms etc.
Have I got the wrong cable? Speedtest ran OK results, but when I look at more cables, some are advertised as twisted 4 pairs and CAT6 RJ11 cable?
