Far far away....
Can anyone recomend a RJ11 > RJ11 cable. It needs to be 10m long. The one I have now is very flimsy indeed.

Thanks!

RJ11 > RJ11?
I don't think there are any "recommendations" as you can just simply buy generic ones in shops. 10 metre will be hard to find, if not your best bet is borrowing some crimping tools of a mate, heading to B&Q, buying two RJ11 connectors and and a 10 metre wire and just crimp the wire yourself.

Is being used in a scenario where the quality of it is going to matter to you? (ie, borderline maxdsl)

If so i would make one from some cat5e and some RJ11 ends.

If you're borderline MaxDSL it's unlikely the last 10m will make any difference, unless the current one is damaged / complete garbage.

The current one is really thin. I don't have any crimpers or i would make one up myself.

It is going around the edge of a room under the carpet between the gripper rod and the skirting board.

i have found a 10m no problem, i would just like a thicker cable a la CAT5 but with twoo RJ11 ends...

Thanks !

I had a standard BT 10m extension cable (might have been 15m) and I gained 1000 - 1500kbps sync speed by plugging the router in to the master socket.

Was a pretty new cable as well

Ive found the oposite, i have a very bad line and gained around 900kbit/s sync speed by changing my routers RJ11 cable to a shorter one directly to the master socket. :)
