I am creating my home network and installing Cat6a cable throughout my house. I want to use brushed steel outlet sockets but cannot find any that say they are Cat6a in grey.
My question is….. if I connect a cat6a cable to an outlet that says it’s cat5e, will it degrade the speed of the data as it is only the outlet that is cat5e and the cable is running at cat6a speed?
I hope I am making some sense of what my query is….
