Looking at Easy RJ45 Crimp Tool, but also interested in other recommendations etc for Cat 6 RJ45 cable terminations

best thing to do is to read the reviews on the product page.

Spent a while looking at the 3 star reviews to see the best and worst crimper.

Got a moderately priced one in the end that works well enough but isn’t amazing.

I've been using the VCE pass through one from Amazon for a while now with no issues.

Depends how much use you intend?

I bought a cheapish Amazon one was fine for my home wired network.

If you are planning on becoming a network engineer professionally that's a different story.

There's a bunch of crimpers on eBay that look identical to the CCS "Easy RJ45" crimp tool except they are about 25% of the price. If I only had to do a few jacks I'd probably start with that, it looks decent enough.

If I had to crimp loads of jacks then that's a trick question because I'd just insist on being bought patch cables. There's very few situations where I can think of having to crimp a plug onto a cable, maybe for video distribution where you're trying to limit the number of drops, or for wireless APs where you can't install the AP over a pattress box and put a keystone in behind it.
