I have tried to load every CPU profile that you set for me, but each time it doesnt work because the CPU seems to have a fixed setting of around 3.56.

Could you please tell me what im doing wrong in choosing each profile, a kind of "idiots guide" in how to pick and then have the profile selected upon reboot

Unlucky mate, I saw you received your system in another thread and was quite looking forward to some screenshots off you.

But im sure Rich will help when hes available. Think his names rich, unless im mistaken in which case I shall call him No.2

I do hope that someone can give me an idiots guide about how to choose one of the other profiles that was setup for me, because when I am in the BIOS it lets me change the name of the 4 profiles, but not actually select one to be applied upon reboot, so it makes me think either the profiles have not been done correctly, or im doing the wrong thing, which is why I need an idiots guide, from start to finish, to select different profiles.

If the changes can be made in windows, then im definatly doing it wrong!

Not sure how that board works, but for mine I simply press F6, or maybe F7, I can't remember. Then use the arrow keys to move up and down the list. Press enter, then again to confirm when prompted and that's it. Exit the bios and the profile is loaded.

I am sure somebody on here can give you a how to for your board.

It should be a lot simpler than that, on the OC part in the BIOS, you should just be able to "Load CMOS" and then pick a profile, and that should be it, but it doesnt work, none of the profiles seem to work, the CPU seems to be fixed @ 3.56 and doesnt go any higher no matter what I do :(

What motherboard do you have? What is your specification. Nobody can help unless they know the specifics.

I have an i7 2.67 @3.56, and an ASUS Rampage Extreme II, with 6gb DDR3 OCZ 2000mhz.

I have the overclocking profiles, but as they do not seem to work, maybe I might need to know what rjkoneill put in as I might need to input the settings manually if the profiles did not save correctly, or I am picking the "Load CMOS Profile" which is not the right thing to do?

Yes it is, I go to "Load CMOS Profile" then I choose, for instance, Profile 3, which should be the overclock to 4.0 settings, then F10 to save and exit, but the speed is still 3.56.

I have a feeling the other 3 OC Profiles did not save properly :(

rjkoneill, I hope you can provide me with the manual settings that you used for both the 3.8 OC and the 4.0 OC as well, Yewin said that you do not have access to the Pre-Sales Customer Service forum so cannot reply to me directly there, but hopefully you can here, as id really like those 2 performance boosts for my system

That is a shame they are not working...this is why I think it is best if one overclocks their own system themselves...that way they will know what changes they have made and how they can rectify it...now it's just a waiting game for you for rjkoneill to respond...hope he responds soon mate...

All that I did to overclock my system from the pre-set 3.6 to 4.0 was increase the BCLK from where it currently was upto 190, then saved my settings and exited, and voila! CPU speed increased right upto 4.0 :D
