I sold and item through RM yesterday and the person should have received it by 1pm. I know about the strikes but they did say will prioritise these kind of deliveries.

There has been some activity on tracking since 4am, just hope it arrives tomorrow.
Is there anything I can do about it?

Cheers guys

As there's strikes on I very much doubt you'll be able to claim as per normal but I suppose it's worth a shot.

Yeah, just follow their claims process and see.

I normally offer the buyer the compensation if I get it, usually appeases them and it seems the fair thing to do.

If the Strikes have affected it and that's outside the terms of their delivery service, then just suck it up, no buyer should be that intolerant they can't grasp the problem with an inconvenient strike.

Pretty sure they are on strike tomorrow as well so I would say the earliest it’s going to get there is maybe Saturday if they bump up because of the strikes but more likely to arrive Monday.

Has the buyer said it hasnt come yet as the updating thing for those are terrible. I take it it was special delivery?

They do deliver SD faster than other items during the strike days, but the next day promise is suspended from the day before (yesterday) until after the strike action.

You won’t be able to claim for anything unfortunately. Hopefully it arrives soon!

Can't you get a postage refund?
No.

Special Delivery Guaranteed: We will continue to accept, prioritise and deliver as many Special Delivery items as our resources allow during strike action. However, we cannot guarantee delivery of all items by 9am or 1pm next day. We will therefore suspend the next day guarantee for items sent the day before, during strike action and until our services are back to normal. Customers will not be able to claim compensation for items which are delayed during this period.

Going to be so many companies and people going to evri.

The strikes are becoming annoying.

The last offer from RM sounded decent to me? Might be missing something

They should just sack the lot, must be loadsa migrants looking to get away from deliveroo/ubereats and into steady work

I had a RM SD by 1pm delivered yesterday in an Enterprise hire van. Thought it was a bit strange.

Can afford nearly billions in dividends to shareholders post covid but no decent pay increase to staff and trying to change working conditions to include mandatory weekend shifts for all workers including regular Sunday working. I know industries need to change but trying to force change on all staff when existing staff might not be able to and new staff might want only weekend work, the flexibility is not recognised at all.

We're a small business affected also by the strikes, can't get product out to customers, but what RM is trying to ask of the staff in our opinion is not appropriate, especially when the likes of Amazon will expect us to work Sundays too because Royal Mail will in the future offer a Sunday collection for post at this rate.

Evri might be cheaper for us, but dear lord trying to get any customer support from them is impossible. I'd rather lose parcels with Royal Mail than Evri

Not just them, i just got a notification that i had a DPD delivery. The only thing i can think that it is that i have ordered was a PS5 game! :o

Looks like my RM 48 hour delivery that should have arrived yesterday will be next week some time, if they don't lose it. Great.
I do think people should get a decent pay rise, but they'll be striking themselves out of a job at this rate.
