RM1000 enough for SLI 980Ti OC Strix?

Never quite understood the arts of power

so would be greatful if someone could help me out please.

Would a Corsair RM1000x be sufficient to power 2 980ti overclocked strix cards, 5 SSD's and a OC 6700K.

Additionally there are 6 PCIE 8 pin rails on the PSU ; the cables have 2 split 6+2 splitters. Is it okay to use 1 rail per gpu, opposed to using 2 rails per card.

Yep that will be fine.

Running 2GPUs on a single rail is possible but I wouldn't do it.

That power supply only has a single 12V rail so it doesn't matter what you plug your cards into, they'll be powered the same way.

It's an amazing power supply FYI. JonnyGuru gave it a perfect 10.

1000W is more than enough power too.
