rma card,which one will i get back

i returned a faulty club 8800gts 320mb.to ********, last week,i paid £190 for it 16 months ago.as they no longer stock the 8800gts320mb,which card do you think they will replace it with,im hoping 8800gts 500mb.

Welcome to the forums .

You should get back the 8800GT 512mb or the 512mb GTS but then again you might not as some can be weird when it comes to RMA. Most likely you'll get the GT or GTS though.

not so funny I ordered a 512Mb 8800GT and got a 384Mb "GT"... and having hell of a time trying to get it sorted as the shop doesn't seem to understand the problem... still trying to get my extra 128Mb.

You don't always get a new one back. I just RMA'd a mobo back to overclockers and was told on the phone i wouldn't be getting a new mobo as mine was 6 months old. I'd be getting a refurb.

with the 320MB GTS you will most likelly get the 8800 GS/9600 GSO

But the 8800 GS would die a death with any amount of AA on compared to the 320 GTS due to the far smaller bus (192-bit on the GS, compared to the 320-bit bus on the GTS). Chances are there're still enough GTS 320 cards knocking about to get another one...

If they can replace it with another 8800 320 gts hold out for at least the new 8800 gts 512 (G92) should be better than your existing card but like lightnix said there still seems to be quite a few of the 320Mb version's floating about. All be it half the price you paid for it

the thing is my first card i got from this online store ******** was a 7900gt i had that card 12 months and it started artifacting.so i rma it, and they sent me the 8800gts.for a streight swap ,now thats done the same.they were both club brands,may be club is a cheap brand.
