Hey there,

Couldn't find a support forum so I thought this might be the best place for this.

Basically, just recieved a new Cosair Carbide 400R case today and discovered that there was a massive hole in the box. This hole, lead to the discovery that my case was bend totally out of shape and damaged to the extent that I can't use it.

Now I've been issued an RMA according to my history, but no sight of the email.
What's up with that?

Also, will Overclockers pick it up? Or will I have to send it back myself? If the latter, then I am royally annoyed. The size of case would result in an extremely high shipping cost for me. I don't see why I should have to pay when it's the shipping company that messed up.

Anyone have any ideas what will happen? Sadly this happened on the weekend, so no customer support till Monday! :(

No idea tbh! There will be a claim against the courier, thats all I can say.

Not many people work for OcUK, im certainly not one of them :D.

I had to RMA the first Storm Scout I had delivered last year due to a defect. I asked OCuk if they could collect it and they arranged a courier pickup at their expense (if the product is faulty/damaged in transit, you aren't responsible for return cost :)).

The only issue I had was how long it took for them to inspect it and ship a new one, given that I provided photo evidence and they agreed it was a manufacturing issue when the RMA was raised.

Thanks for your reply.

Good to know that they arranged a courier. Hopefully they will do that in my case too.

I could provide photo evidence for them, but I think once they see the extent of the damage it's pretty obvious it's not simply a fault in the manufacturing.
Something big, hard and sharp practically pierced the cardboard and physically bend the whole of the case out of shape. It looks like it's been shelled!

what courier was it?

when i sold my last pc, i sent it via city link, it was well packaged, with FRAGILE clearly writted in black on white, all over the box, But when the buyer recieved it, the case was bent, perspex window was broken and a smashed brand new graphics card..
i ended up having to pay back £210 for the damages, and city link didnt want to know or care.... then when i kept calling, they kept saying they will put me through to the right department, then actually just cut me off..

The buyer sent me pictures of the pc and the box,, the box had bright and clear foot prints from Caterpillar boots all over it, as if they have intentionally stood on it...

Even to this day, i have recieved a refund, and will never use city link again
